Sebanjo Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 Can anyone help me to configure this to the optimal settings for my computer? I have Ath XP 1600+ Win 2000 512 mb RAM 32 mb Geforce2GTS I've heard that this setting is important but I'm not sure how to use it...
Rendar Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 AGP Aperture should be half the amount of system RAM you have, not more though.
Valdarious Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 I have heard alot of people setting apature 128 to boost performace on all machines. Shouldnt this belong in Yodas Swamp?
Darthtoast Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 Here's an article about optimizing your aperture for benchmarking, should have some relevance: http://discuss.madonion.com/forum/showflat.pl?Board=mo3dmark2001&Number=577002
Jarek Kloss Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 I used to have a GF2 GTS 32DDR and I run 512MB of RAM. I found for my system that a 128MB AGP aperature was the sweet spot. It's a good place to start, anyway. Bench it with whatever you like to play and then jack it up a notch to 256 and bench again, then do the same for 64 and see what gives you the best numbers.
