I can't join the same game as my brother :(

I am having problems connecting to the same game as my brother. Oddly, I figure it has to do with us being on a shared connection, But I think our IP masking router may also be a problem. If anyone has some advice or tips on how to either fix the problem or find a way around it please respond

I'm not sure to be honest, I have a router so that we can have a LAN and have three computers all connected to the net. You certainly won't be able to host any internet games (local is ok, but not internet) because that just won't work (IP masking is to blame I think) - but theoretically, you should be able to play on the same server (JKII doesn't even have copy protection for some reason). My brother and I used to play Counter-Strike on the same server through the router, so it should work in theory. To be honest, I haven't tried to have us both playing on the same server in JKII. In fact, I haven't even been able to connect to a JKII server ON MY OWN, which is VERY annoying! GRRR...!

If JK 2 is not a very special thing, you both should be able to join the same and any server outside your router.

A problem may be that router usually come along with an integrated firewall, maybe you need to configure this before you can play.

Yeah, it does have a built in firewall, but I am able to host games, but for some reason when my brother or I try to join any game that eachother are in through internet it gives the ignored message in game and counts down on the timer. As for you SkyLightWalker have you tried getting on at the zone? It's relatively easy and ive had less problems than in the server list
