Shrew_TFS
Here's my problem: I join in or host an MP game and within a minute at the least, I am immediately kicked back to the main menu with the little error smiling back at me (topic, CL_ParsePacketEntities: end of message). It happens so frequent on a regular basis, I could swear by it. Anyways, I apologize in advanced if there are any other threads that deal with this problem. I looked through two pages of this forum and didn't see any. I might have over-looked one. Also, here are my system specs if it helps any: AMD Athlon 1.4ghz 512mb ram GeForce 3 64DDR SB Live! Thanks again!
searchname
I think the problem has something to do with your NIC drivers. I recall reading about this problem within Quake 3, basically the NIC can't supply info quickly enough or something to that effect. I hope that helps!!! Slyzer
I think it has something to do with the host and your connection to him within the first minute of the game, occasionally i can get in after a few tries, sometimes get booted after a few minutes. I just try and find a game really quick, my comp is really fast so i dont have to worry about lag hope that helps
Hotdognz
Same thing is happing to me when I host my own game using bots so I cant see how the network card isnt supplying info fast enough as all the info is on my machine. Damm pain in the arse, also all other Q3 games have worked for me and never give me this msg before.
Shrew_TFS
Thanks for your help guys. However, I don't think its a problem with the NIC or it's drivers. You see, I get this same error message when I host my own game playing only bots. For example, I just got kicked out of a duel game between me and 1 bot. I won the duel and before it could set-up the next match, BAM, im back at the main menu with this error. Well, thanks for your help anyways. l-FeigN
This particular error happens when you use an executable. cracked for no-cd. How do I know this? Becuase when i cracked the game - yes, I was a lazy freak - i kept on getting said error constantly. Just delets the .exes that were and rename your jk2sp.BAK and jp2mp.BAK back into .exe files. Oh, and stop being lazy. Have a pleasant night

I have tested and it is NOT my NIC card or my connection. Give a 12 year old a computer and they think they know everything
[nice]Puppy
Ok, as I posted in the other thread, if you did a custom install and pointed the game to install in another directory other than the one it would defalt to, this may be the problem. Try a reinstall using the automattic install option. This may go for servers as well.
