Here i am...Mr. Newbie. Well to get right to it...ppl cant detect my JK2 hosted games. I'm behind a firewall...but im using DMZ to go around it. Still my friend cannot detect my game, and i also noticed that when i opened the in game menu (pressed escape) the game paused as i was in the middle of a jump and it paused. Is there an option i have that is keeping this from letting other ppl join?

PLEASE HELP!!!

{edit}

Oh it isnt a dedicated server...just regular host

On a Lynksys router (mine 4-way) when you activate DMZ hosting it puts you around the firewall completely, leaving you exposed but also open. They should be able to detect me. Thats why i beleave that it is an option i have set in JK2.

Is there an option to host a LAN game or an internet game in JK2? Or an option to let ppl join your server unstead of bots? Or something like that that could be set to 0 or off or something? Im just shooting out ideas here...

I have a Cable Modem via Time Warner ROADRUNNER and use a Linksys 4 port router... how do I deactivate the firewall? If I deactivate it, I can then create a server for my 3 friends to join? I have been disconnceting myself from the router and connecting the cat5 cable from the modem directly to the PC in order to establish a server.

I cant do that im afraid...the IN-Line is on the other side of my house...+ i got 3 other family members that like to use the internet too ;). I have also read somewere that ppl were not even using DMZ hosting option and still getting results (Just dropping players all the time). I beleave it was in that big topic about Linksys routers.

Am I not expaining this clear enough?
