The problem is most likely your registry entries...

When you go to the add/remove programs under the control panel does it still list J O ?

If it does you can use TweakUI to remove it

After you do that then re-install the game

Try a different directory this time

That should work for ya !

YES !!!

Thats exactly what you need....

When you install it it may giveyou a message box that says it should be run from the control panel...

Choose YES

Then you'll need to search for the file tweakui.cpl

Locate the file click OK

After it installs choose the tab on the top that says Add/Remove

Make sure its the tweakui add/remove

Dont use the regular one in the control panel

find Jedi Outcast and remove it....

It'll give you a message....just click ok

Look and see if its gone...

If it is then you're free to re-install Jedi Outcast....

Hope it all works out for ya......

Ok....

Thats gonna be a problem then.

There is a major problem with the enyak mod

and its really f*'d up.

I'm gonna have to look this one up...

I'm kinda making a list of all the current error fixes for JK2 right now so it might take me a little while here...

I'll be on for the next few hours so you can check back in a little while.

Try doing a complete shutdown and let the system stay off for a minute and reboot....that'll completely clear your memory...

If it still wont install check back here and

I should have a fix for it shortly...

OK try this.....

Search your system for this

*.pk3

this will bring up all instances of pk3 files on your system

does it list multiple copies of the same files ?

If it doesn't or it doesn't list any then try installing JO like this

Start - Run - CD:\setup.exe

this will skip the autorun stuff and MAY let you install

Not totally sure yet as I'm still looking for

a complete fix for this one...

Have you tried:

1. Put cd in, and screen comes up.

2. Close the screen.

3. Go to MyComputer and double click cd.

3a. If it just brings the start screen back, close the screen. Right click the cd drive and select Open (not Autoplay).

4. You should just see the raw files on the cd.

5. Proceed to the Gamedata folder and select Setup.exe.

6. This will install the game again & re-connect all the registries.

7. Either try playing then, or try uninstalling to start from scratch again.

Did this help you at all?
