I'm having trouble enabling cheats in MP

For some reason, I am having trouble enabling cheats in MP (I am playing solo trying to get the double saber, and try out other stuff).

I load the MP game, open the console, then type:

 

devmap bespin_streets

 

This generates an error: "target_speaker without a noise key".

 

WTF?!?!?!

 

What am I doing wrong? What is the exact process for enabling cheats?

You aren't supposed to be able to enable cheats in multiplayer. That would make you... well a cheater!

I have no idea what that error code means, but I know why you're having trouble -- that's the wrong map name. It's called ffa_bespin -- watch the filename as the map loads.

 

However, I too have had trouble enabling the cheats. I use the code (i.e. devmap ffa_bespin), but then timescale is the only cheat that will work. I don't get errors, I just don't get results.

 

And no, I don't mean on REAL multiplayer, I mean on my own system, against bots. I'm still just learning the game, and I'd like to practice with all options.
