Game is great. Only one thing annoys me and that is the volumetric shadows. They annoy me because they almost look brilliant (remember the shadows in severance: blade of darkness - they were brilliant and JKII's shadows come so very close and then decide to randomly dissapear into the faces on character meshes as they move.)

 

Now, I know the shadow config commands. 0= none. 1=blobs. 2=volumetric as in game options. 3=simple volumetric projections which map in one direction over everything. What I want to know is how to leave the volumetric 2 on as a projection from the charater but stop it mapping on the characters themselves. Is that a possibilty? Does anyone know the Q3 engine well enough to tell me how to do it?

 

I know it can be done because Medal of honour has exactly that kind of shadow and it's the same engine.
