how does one go about recording a demo?

Hey all. Yeah, I'm still around. One of the old timers from the start of JK

 

Anyway, as the topic says, I would like to record a Demo, but I don't seem to be able to find the console command. if someone could post the commands I need to create one, as well as export it to an extrernally viewable file, I would appreciate it.

 

Also, I've seen in a couple posts people talking about a complete inability to make SP demos? What's up with that?
