Viewing Edited Skins

Is there a way in-game to rotate around your player model? I am asking this because I edited the face of the reborn skin and would like to view it, however, as you all know you're initially limited to only viewing the backside of your player model.

Thanks for any input.

Below is a script you can use to allow you to view your model in thirdperson, as well as rotate/zoom on them. It binds the controls to your number pad through the 8 4 6 2 arrows, and 5 which switches between first and third person. This is useful for anyone testing a skin or who wants to take a screenshot of the skin. I suggest pasting teh text below into a file and naming it skinview.cfg or something like that. Then when in game, type this into the browser "exec skinview.cfg" without the quotations or course. Doing it this way will allow you to keep those keys free for other binds during regular gameplay, and only load them when you are intending to test a skin.

// BOF

bind kp_5 "toggle cg_thirdperson;vstr a0;vstr r40"

bind kp_uparrow "vstr closer"

bind kp_downarrow "vstr farther"

bind kp_leftarrow "vstr left"

bind kp_rightarrow "vstr right"

Make sure you only past the section outlines by comments (the // marks). Let me know if this helps...

You are right, cheats must be enabled. You can do that by typing devmap {mapname} (without the {}) a typical map I use is ffa_bespin

also, I don't put that script in the autoexec, because I do not want it loading every time I play. It is only meant for times when I PLAN to use it, so typing in exec in the console does not bother me =)

Octa out

By the way. I downloaded an SOF2 model viewer that loads the glm files, so chances are I will take screenshots from that anyway. Not sure, still trying to find the control for changing the skin in the viewer, models work though... ---- hmmmm.
