In that case, he has rescued Jan from Boc, killed Jerec in a duel in the valley, and successfully avoided the temptation of using the valley for his own power. On the light path, Kyle is not interested in taking the power of the Valley, merely defending it against Jerec. Kyle's serious brush with the dark side comes in Mysteries of the Sith (the add on pack to JK) where he spends a little too much time at a Sith temple (the player, taking on the role of Mara Jade, has to go in there and redeem him).
