dogboy
hit ther, i tried to follow some instructions i overheard for binding a hotkey to my ability to 'taunt' an opponent..i was told to access my 'console' (?) and type 'bind key+taunt'...so i looked at every optioh available to me in the game interface, saw no taunt, and finally used the 'alt-tilde(~)' function to bring down the text board..here i typed the following ' +taunt' where the empty space is just thatl-a hit upon the 'spacebar' key...after this, everytime i enter a multiplayer game my character begins talking in clipped sentences and never stops...what have i done, and how can i undo it and instead bind a key on my keyboard to the 'taunt' function? thank u
MinusBlindfold
yeah. you activated the taunt. To fix it go back to your console and type /-taunt. that should work. I was using the Lando model and kept going wooh-wooh-wooh-wooh-wooh-wooh because he goes WOOHOO!!!! But my taunt is +button3. Not sure if it does the same. But if your going to do that type in console /bind x "+taunt" -- replace x with any key and make sure to have +taunt in " "s.
Ol-Gil
What you refered to as the "text board" IS the console. That's where you should've typed "bind [whatever key you want] +taunt" minus the quotes of course. Your problem is that +taunt, by itself, is a TOGGLE. You simply set the taunt feature to on, rather than set off a one-time use that you will get if you bind a key. To turn off the incessant noise, go back to the console [that's "text board" to you I suppose] and type -taunt. That's minus, the opposite of plus. Logical, eh? Have fun, Me
