Very odd, possibly video problem

This is a very odd problem. I cant start up the multiplayer version of the game. the single player works,but you must exit the game after you die or it freezes. im running a 3dfx banshee. any help is appreciated

sorry, but 3dfx cards aren't supported by this game. 3dfx is out of the market anyway, so you are going to have to get a new vid. card:(

thats weird cuse the 1player game works fine. except having to relaod the game after every die,

Try using the Wicked GL DEMO

You'll have to press C everytime you play but its a small price to pay to try and make it run on that old card.

Use these video setting as well so you get better performance

640x480, 16-bit Color, and Textures, Shadows off

 

The Banshee is an old card yes ....

 

But it MIGHT still work ok in single player,

with the exception of a couple maps.

And it may lag up quite a bit in all of the maps at certain sections.

 

Wont work good at all in multiplayer though.

 

MAKE SURE all your drivers are the lastest

Do yourself a favor and slap down two or three hundred bucks on a new videocard. I had a Banshee once and I can't imagine it being able to run this game.

Instead of restarting the whole game, just change one of the video options to cause the video mode to refresh that allows your saves to load again on 3dfx.

 

I cant play MP as all the menus are corrupted. Cant wait for my new Card to arrive that should sort it out (I hope)

thnx all, i downloaded the wickedgl thing installed it, but im not sure how to use it, this game isnt in the list
