vaaron
Hi guyz I'll go straight to the point I have a p3 866 - 512 ram - geforce 2 pro 64MB. Im running the game @ 25-50 fps, 80 in corridors and 15 in heavy combats. A friend o mine has a P4 1,8 and didnt see a Huuuge difference. Nearly the same... WHAT do you need to run this jedi2 smoothly??? It makes little difference when ya go from 16 to 32 bits frm low to high etc. The question is...... Any of you have some tips to increase FPS without ruining the excellent graphics so much??? Thx frm Argentina V@aron
Creston
You're basically already pointing out the problem yourself, when you say that you didn't notice any big difference if you switched from 16bit to 32bit color etc. something in your PC is bottlenecking a little. It's not your graphics card, or you would have noticed a bigger difference when switching textures. Try lowering geometry details, because I suspect it's your processor / motherboard combo. What detail levels are you running at? Creston
Smitty
That would be the $64,000 dollar question. Some think a patch is needed, others say it works fine on their 2.x ghz Athlon, yada, yada, yada.... I know this does not help at all, but the board is full of questions like this. I sort of wish they had a sticky on one of them so everyone can go to one area to talk about it. There should be a solution somewhere.

toolboi
What I find odd is that single player runs smooth as butter with tons of guys on the screen, but MP with the same number runs slow... (20-30 fps) and dont get me started on bots... Another thing that I find odd in MP is that you get incredible lag form stuff like forcedrain or rocket explosions. Hiteche5
There is so many possible problems though that it is very hard to answer peoples questions concerning framerate when you don't know what they are running (system spec, OS, connection, setup options, etc.) I run on WINXP with a 1gig intel and a Geforce 2 MX400 with 64meg. I have a VIA 694 chipset and 256meg of PC133. I run 1024x768 in 16 bit color with everything except shadows on max and 16 bit textures and Z-buffer. I get around 80 FPS and in MP (same settings) I get around 50 and I don't usually take a performance hit when people drain or absorb or anything like that. I am a certified technician so I have a little experience in tweaking and that's what I've done..I played Q3A and basically used the same config for this game.
