Dayuseks
Ok, for some reason I can't see any servers when I go to multiplayer mode. I have it set to internet, and I've tried refreshing the list. So I go to the lucas arts site which basically says outgoing ports need to be set. I have a linksys router (like the subject didn't give that away ) and the closest thing I could find to opening outgoing ports was to set up ip fowarding using the UDP ports suggested on the lucas arts site. I set those up, and nothing. Next I set my PC to DMZ host and tried again. Now at this point I'm wide open to the net. Still nothing. So I'm at a loss as to how I get a list of servers off the master list. Any ideas?
HC - Exar Kun
I have heard of allot of problems with servers not refreshing.... DSL problems... Cable problems.... Network game problems And all of these have one thing in common WINBLOWS NETWORKING Try updating to the latest software or drivers for your Modem, NIC, Router and also your MAINBOARD Or whatever else you may have. See if that solves the problem... If that doesn't work you are most likely running a firewall somewhere.... ( Either software firewalls, or some routers, switches, and hubs have them installed on a chip inside it and are hardware controlled through the driver ) Try re-configuring your firewall and opening some extra ports.... Also try searching the Microsoft web site for for networking updates, patches, etc..... I have 6 systems on my network.... And all my stuff is up to date... All have firewalls... And It runs just fine on all 6.

Dayuseks
Well, here's the problem. Every other game I play (and believe me when I say I play a lot of games), works fine on the net. I play Unreal Tournament and can see everything. I've enabled DMZ hosting which allows me to be wide open to the internet. My router has a built in firewall, so I made sure that not only did I open the ports they listed, but I even disabled the firewall temporarily and I get the same problem. Also, I tried playing on the zone and it worked great. I was able to connect to the zone games without a problem too. Oh well, guess I'll keep experimenting and if worse comes to worse, I'll be stuck using the zone.
Netbug
Go to your routers configuration and change the following in the advanced section... Under the forwarding tab, set a range of 28060 through and including 28081 to forward to your computers internal ip address. I have EXACTLY the same setup as you and it worked for me. Now, can anybody answer MY question? I need to know how to change the port that JKII works on so that I can run it on multiple computers behind the firewall for internet play. HOW???? Dayuseks
That's kind of funny that you mention that because I was setting the forwarding to the IP the router assigns to my PC, and I was wondering if I should be setting it to the internal one. I'll try that out, thanks!

Netbug
Hey. Post your router settings and IP addresses for your internal network. You are set up statically, right? Netbug
