rork73
Hey guys, Sofar I've only seen Q3 related modelling and texture mapping tuts, but I need some specific jkii info to get started with making new models. So if anyone has any info (on poly count and other limitations, specific file formats, etc) I'd love to hear/read them, so I won't be doing all the work for nothing. If anyone knows for sure how much is the same with Q3, I'd really like to know too (I never played Q3, so I don't have a clue how both games compare, model wise). Point is, I want to have some stuff ready to test as soon as we can start exporting glm from 3ds max. Thanks!
FWB
Sounds like you're in exactly the same boat as myself. I'm a 3Dds Max user too but have never played Quake 3 before, so any info would be great. In addition, how do I go about exporting for the Quake 3 engine?
sithlord-II
for any information about modelling and importing to quake 3, check out http://www.polycount.com it has some great tutorials to get you started on quake 3, but i would recommend waiting until the actual GDK and SDK are available, but why not practice up for the final release?
