console commands

does anybody know how I can find out what console commands do what?

 

I know that if I type the command in the console it may give you the context lines but some commands aren't self-explainatory!

Much like RTCW and Quake 3 Arena...

 

Here are a couple:

 

/g_gravity xxx [if gravity set at 0, you will jump to the moon and back... if set at 500 you get the normal gravity or 400]

 

/serverinfo [gives you the server info]

 

/quit [quitts the game]

 

 

every command is logicial..so just use your imagination

how about recording a demo?

 

I noticed that a lot of commands do use [ and ] and \ stuff like that. i am used to Counter-Strike so I have a good idea of what to do but not sure about the brackets.

 

for recording a demo is it

 

\recorddemo "name"

recorddemo [name]

record "name"

 

and so on?

any tips?
