Slightly Different Twist On The OpenGL Problems

I currently have a dual monitor display on my computer. One monitor (the primary one to BIOS) is an 8MB ATI PCI Xpert 98, while the other is a GeForce 2 MX 400 AGP. Both are using the default Windows XP drivers.

In order to play Jedi Outcast, I knowneed to upgrade my GeForce 2's drivers. However, that isn't working properly.

I've had only moderate luck with them. When I just install the new drivers (of any version) normally and reboot, my monitor using the GeForce comes up with no picture. Power on, but with a black screen (Xpert is in normal working order). XP reports that it couldn't start the device (Code 10). I roll back the drivers and everything is back to normal, both monitors work.

I kept going through this with each version of drivers, until I finally decided to just take my Xpert 98 out of the (BIOS) equation. I went into the BIOS, switched the primary monitor to the AGP slot, and booted up with the newer drivers and it worked flawlessly. The game loaded without a problem, but now the Xpert 98 monitor was on, but with no picture. I check my Device Manager and it says that now the Xpert 98 can't be started (Code 10, again).

So basically, my question is this. I need to run both monitors (it makes my work online go much faster), but at the same time I need to upgrade my video drivers/OpenGL. Does anyone have any ideas about how I could go about getting that to work?

The rest of the specs on the computer are:

ECS K7VZA Rev1.1g

1.2ghz Athlon

384 MB SDRAM (256 + 128 in slots)

Windows XP Professional

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
