Texture Problem(no space nor mirror)

I know this is an old problem, with posts all around the forum for solutions. But trust me, none of the solutions work for me. I´m talking about the texture bug where the space/sky/etc. textures don´t show up, instead, there is either white or yellow in place. Instead of the space textures I only have a yellow... something. This is also same with the mirror image in the last level(you know, the one where Desann appears behind you). I have tried everything possible, except for one thing.

 

My OS is Win ME, 256mb RAM, Hercules Prophet (Geforce) 2 MX. I am currently using Hercules´s drivers, and I can´t use Detonator 23.11 because everytime I install the the screen is distorted when I start my computer up again. So I always have to uninstall the graphics adaptor in Win safe mode. Any solutions. Tried modifying the config file, and that didn´t work.
