Force push and pull + saberthrow

It seems that the forces push and pull aren't that effective in multiplayer. I tried it out and it's true. If 2 people stand next each other and one tries to push the other nothing happens.

 

And sometimes if i stand opposite the enemy and he throws his saber i can't seem to blok it. I'm just standing no moves or anything.

Coz that s the way to counter it

u must not move and push or pull have no effect on u

That s why on maps with ledges u see a lot of ppl idle looking at each other , searching for the moment someone will do an error

The moment u start doing something then pull or push has effect on u

thats not it at all, even when you do move they can block your force

no kidding, i was just playing and there were a couple of guys that kept pushing me, it didn't matter if i stood still i got thrown of the map, and they would be running and i couldn't even pull or push them, they just blocked it, even in the air they blocked it. It was pathetic. It's like some of us can't use the force while others have full use, or they were cheating, which would suck.

it is my understanding that you can be more susceptible to force push/pull depending on movement, whether you are swinging your sabre or not, how close you are, and the direction you are pushed/pulled from i.e. from behind is more effective.

 

I have been trying to figure out the multiplayer on my LAN for ages - still prefer the singleplayer sabre fights

The level of your push and pull force powers also play a role in determining how succeptible you are to other players pushes and pulls. So set it at 3 in MP and you should be on a level playing field. Also if you do not perform any action you can block the push or pull. You are more likely to get pushed and pulled while you are performing force actions such as drain or lightning. Seems to me you cant get pushed or pulled while attacking. Also crouching helps.

If I am standing still and someone has high push/pull and I have low push/pull, I'm flung far and wide.

 

If I am standing still and we both have the 3rd level (or possibly equal level) push/pull and that other guy pushes me, my character will automatically counter it. Haven't you ever noticed that your hand raises like a push/pull even though you didn't hit the button?

 

Sabre Block is also a Force Power you have to spend points on. On level 3 I block most flung Sabres, if I'm not doing anything of course. I think if someone throws on heavy stance you will still take considerable damage even if you "blocked" it.

You can most definitely be pushed/pulled while attacking. I have been in many sabre duels with 4 other people around all using push/pull while I am attacking, I feel like a freaking pinball that I move around so much.
