Guest Wedge598
If you are refering to the way the cross hairs jump around when they are pointed at objects close to you there is an option in the serttings somewhere to turn off dynamic crosshairs. However, this is NOT an autoaimming feature. It's a feature that is supposed to accurately portray the difference in the focal point of the aiming reticle relative to closer objects. For example, if you were to aim at a distant object and fire at it the shot would hit roughly at the center of your view. But if someone where to slide a wall in front of you suddenly and then you were to shoot at it the shot would hit slightly off center of your view because the shot would hit the target long before the horizon (where you focused on the distant target). I can't explain it any other way but there is not autoaiming feature that I'm aware of and I personally like the dynamic crosshair.
RedMan
Could also mean the inaccuracy of the blaster, thinking its trying to autoaim. So if you mean how a blast seems to not hit dead centre, they never do. No, thats a lie, sometimes.... yes! I believe I saw it once.
Zodiac
turn on the console. type: cg_dynamiccrosshair 0 thats it.
Dragonfyre78
I don't know if it's just me and my comp or not, but when I use this "cg_dynamicCrosshair 0" option, although it does a great job disabling the annoying jittering effect (I'd rather just have my crosshair show where the centre of the screen is!), it also has the unpleasant side effect of completely removing the crosshair in 3rd person mode. What I mean is, after typing that command in the console, in 1st person it's great--I aim where I'm looking. However, in 3rd person, the damn reticle disappears completely! Does anyone have a solution for this? Thanks
