Problems getting Seekers to work in SP...

I am having a problem with the little Seeker Drones not working in SP. I can pick them up and they appear in the inventory, but I cannot use them.

 

I have tried remapping the keys for "use_seeker" and use inventory item to no avail. I have even tried using the console, but nothing happens at all.

 

I don't know if this is just a paranoid delusion, but it worked once. The little guy scooted around the corner and was gone. I had assumed it self destructed, but now I am wondering if some Flag/Cvar didn't get reset and the game still thinks there is one active(?).

 

Any developers/smarty-pants out there with a clue if there is something I can try to get them functional again?

Okay then... what does the little black dot on the envelope next to this thread mean? That I started it?
