Difference between a LAN server and an Internet Server...

I've been trying to host my own servers (and leech off my college T1 line), but whenever I try to run a non-dedicated server, it's only available to people on my LAN. Is there a way for me to run a non-dedicated server that will be accesible to people on the net? It works on just about every other multiplayer game I've tried as the default, but not for JKII for some reason (or maybe it was just Q3 based games, not sure). Any help would be appreciated.

I dunno but you could always try just running the dedicated server and connect to that. You can run a dedicated server and play the game online at the same time.

yeah, when u host a non-dedicated, it is automatically set for people on the lan to connect to it, and i dont think there is a way around it, i just connect to my own
