Skellington
Hey, just DL'd the AT-AT prefab that was made for Elite Force. I'm thinking of animating it to make it useable for Outcast (author permitting) as an enemy, possibly as a driveable vehicle...have to see when the SDK comes out. The only thing is, I need to have a look at it as an md3, so I can view it with the OpenGL viewer, and convert it either to Maya or Max to check it out for animation. The file is in the form of a "func_group", the file itself being "atat_func_group.map". Never having edited Q3 or Elite Force, I've no idea how to get a look at it. Can this type of map be loaded in the "HoloMatch" multiplayer game? How would I go about converting it to an MD3 or 3ds/Obj...anything I can actually USE? The model looks pretty good from the one tiny shot I saw of it, and I'd really like to have the time to do the animation right, but get the thing in game ASAP, so I'm anxious to get started. Any help?
erroneous
a prefab is not really a model, just a bunch of brushes stuck together, you stick it in a map if you wanna see it. download radient or something
Skellington
Hmmm...that's NOT cool. Well, guess it's gonna have to be a new Mesh for the ATAT then.
UniKorn
I don't guarantee that it will work, but it might be worth the try to convert Agent007's AT-AT into a model. Download gmax and tempest, load the prefab in tempest, save it as a gmax file, and then try to open it with gmax. Who knows
Cmdr. Antilles
My Ears are burning! No, really, I wanted to see inside, so I lit a q-tip... Seriously, if you want to try that, don't use my EF version. I've already converted the map to JK2... I had to redo some of the textures because JK2 only loads them if their dimensions are in powers of 2. And, I resized the legs, because they were too thin to start with. So, if you still want to try it, email me, and I'll set you up with the updated prefab and textures. secretagent@attbi.com BTW, I am Agent007.
