Video Problems.....I dont want to take it back !

Hi ppl

 

I purchased JkII today and im having some problems whith my graphics cards

 

System Specs

 

PII400

128 RAM

2 voodoo 2s 16 meg

8gig HD

Win 98

SB live

 

My problem is that JKII runs only my permedia primary card thats 4meg .I have all the latest drivers for my graphics and sound cards,I ran the system check in the folder and everything was fine it said everything passes !!!

 

I have no problem running Castle wolfenstein and Q3 except for a bit of bad fps in large areas but they run on my voodoos not the permedia card !!!

 

I really need help, ive looked in all the options and cant find where you change display adapters PLEASE HELP !!

Have you tried the wicked gl drivers - might help. Not used v2's in a long time though so couldn't tell you. Problem might be that you need some kind of opengl.dll in the game folder for the cards to work ?

 

Honestly just grabbing at straws but worth a shot !

I am pretty sure a voodoo2 does not meet the minimum requiremetns for this game. 8MB FULLY opengl compatible, not half a$$ opengl mini icd from 3dfx, sorry man, good luck, you are going to need it. You can try getting the latest drivers, but I don;t think this is like Q3 where you can use the 3dfx opengl mini icd, I think you neee the real McCoy here, and you don't have it.

Ill have to wait till I get a geforce card to play this...

 

I have the wicked gl drivers for my voodoos ran93r, but my problem is that when I look at driver info in the graphics options it says my permedia card not my voodoos

 

I will be gettin a new card soon but my voodoos have done me well over the years and I thought this would be no prob when they can run Castle Wolfenstein and Q3 fine....
