Where to go after fighting with Luke

I'm having a bit of a problem. I got stuck on the level where u fight with Luke. (Mission objective is to locate the ship Doom something).

 

Here is the thing: I've come to a place where a "checkpoint" text shows on the screen. This shows after going through the ventilation and fighting a foe with a lightsabre. To the right (after the checkpoint sign) there is an elevator thats stuck. I jump into it and see another vent. After jumping into that, i see a blue elevator that goes up and down. I've tried to jump into it and waited for the elevator to stop and open a door to another area. But IT DOESN'T!

 

Could someone please guide me through this level.

u have to jump on the top of the elevator, not step into it :-)

This is the old "Kyle rides on top of the elevator rather then in it like a normal person" gag. So, you know what to do. Get on top of the elevator and look around. Don't worry about getting crushed as the elevator goes up, there's plenty of room.
