Guest Spidersymbiote Posted November 29, 2001 Posted November 29, 2001 If only part of a building is in the radius of a shield generator does that building recieve the shield benefit? What about units in the radius? how about enemy units?
Guest Cup_A_Jabba Posted November 29, 2001 Posted November 29, 2001 IF on;y half of a building is under a shields effect, the whole building will receive the full amount of shields. So basically it doesn't matter if the shield barely touches the building, it will fully use all of the shields on it. The same principle applies for units as well. P.S. just in case you weren't aware, the shields double the hp of all units and buildings. That means that if a unit with 40 hp is under a shield, that means he'll get 40 more shields which will put him up at a total H.P level of 80
Guest Tie Guy Posted November 30, 2001 Posted November 30, 2001 Stangely, a tiny little bug allows for a person just beyond the circumference of the shield to be afftected, but they have to be really close.
Grimjack Posted November 30, 2001 Posted November 30, 2001 It's not a bug, the AOK engine is tile based. So the circle from the shield generator is just a guide line because your units can be outside the circle but still on a shielded tile.
Guest Supreme Warlord Posted November 30, 2001 Posted November 30, 2001 I confirmed all that Jabba, Tie Guy, and Grimjack are right. meaning they are right.
DashRendar Posted November 30, 2001 Posted November 30, 2001 Just for the records this all also works for Power Cores
Guest WC_heavyarms Posted November 30, 2001 Posted November 30, 2001 Does that too. Enemy units do not get shielding. Allies I think do, right?
