Hi

I am using a

TB 1.33GHz

Radeon 64DDR (Driver ver. ..9009)

256MB PC133 Infineon

...

When i fire a weapon (Blaster for example) the "Light" in front of

the Blaster has a black frame around it.

Also the animated Parts of Consoles (and other things) have black parts

The Lightsaber has black dots and the Lightning is messed up

I tried the newest drivers, but that didn't help

:(

hope you can help me

edit: found someone who has (nearly) the same problem:

http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38684

The only difference: i have the problem always...

Sorry, can't help ya with that...

But I may as well throw my glitch in as well...

I'm running a TNT2 M64 and the game runs as well as can be expected. Except My smoke has purple dots on it. When Lightsabers impact, when I shoot a wall, when I slash a wall... anytime my saber strikes anything... the resulting cloud has a purple dot matrix through it... the smoke is made up of purple and grey particles

I have a faint thought that it happened in another game on my pc a while back, but I forget which... I have a mental tugging telling me that it's a sprite problem, but I'm not sure. It's worse at lower resolutions. I've tried playing with all the main menu video settings - set the geometric and texture values to different things etc but it persists... happens with both the 23.11 and 28.32 detonator drivers, I don't understand why. Can I set different sprite values? Or is it not sprites at all?

My system

PIII 500mhz

128mb sdram

nVidia TNT2 M64 32mb

20gb 7200 rpm hd

Some horrible Fortemedia soundcard that does the job - FM-801, I believe it is called

VIA mainboard of some description

Windows 98 SE

All of my drivers are new as I reformatted just before installing the game. It also happens under both DirectX 8.0 and DirectX 8.0a.

Don't be idiots and tell me it's cause my PC sucks, it runs the game fine except for this.

Any constructive aid would be greatly appreciated.

Nifelan, I got problem with yellow skies, I recon that the driver that you are using might help me there aswell.....ohhh,..I am just seeing you hae a Radeon card...okay..guess you can't give me a tip on what Nvidia drivers I should have.

The 23.11 obviously does not work.

I have never seen a game with so many graphical twists in it. Everybody have different fault..LOL...one or two faults for some people, but from skies to light sabers depending on drivers and type of card...lol..

VERY very good game though..part from Yellow skies my version runs smooth as a baked fly....eehh..smooth anyway.

i am using the newest 98 drivers 9026 , i got them from http://www.rage3d.com i also use the ragetweak utility for my radeon 7500 , its a great tweaker . has preset values for alot of main stream games , none for jk2 yet , but im sure it will come .

the 9009 are pretty old drivers .

also radeon peoples that dont go to rage3d.com there are other people that put out drivers . like omega at http://www.omegacorner.com

his drivers are for games not benchmarks . so say you use his drivers and you 3dmark score is 100 to 300 points lower your fps and preformance in games should be better . or so they say .

but im using the 9026 drivers and have had no problems and they seem to be pretty stable .

peace
