Dusan
I have 1 128mb and 1 256 the 256 I just bought, i doubt it's bad i ddoubt the memory is bad, although I'll check that out tomorrow tonight I did some testing Generally, with the side on, the temperature of the sensors on my MB is 55-60C (no game) running a game, such as JO, it gets up to 70-73 with the case partially on, and a big fan next to it, it can get down to 53-54 with CPUIdle on (no game) is this relevant or anything? isn't 70 degrees pretty high? anyway, that blue screen with the mem dump message only appears rarely, 70% of the time, the game freezes, followed by the sound stopping. Sometimes, I am able to get back to Windows and end the program. Other times it will completely restart.
No1zLegacy
Generally, with the side on, the temperature of the sensors on my MB is 55-60C (no game) Hmm, by "MB" I assume you mean your motherboard, and those temps would be for your cpu then. If thats the case then yes, 70-73c is very hot. I think thats like 143 Fahrenheit. I have my Athlon set to shut down at 75c. I get nervous if my cpu temps hit 53c, I'd freak out if it hit the 70's, heh. Any system will probably become unstable when it hits the 70c's, regardless of how high the safety margin for that cpu is. I don't know what your case is, but if it's possible put an exhaust fan in the back to suck hot air out, and put an intake fan in the front to suck air in. For your high temps I would recomend you get both, not just one or the other. If you seriously think your temperatures are the problem then here's some advice on what to buy for cooling upgrades. Fans: I would reccomend some Panaflo case fans. Most cases only hold 80mm fans but if you have a slot in the back of your case for a bigger fan then bigger is usually better, especially for exhaust fans. I'd get the Panaflo H1A's, or if you don't mind ALOT of noise, then get the U1A's like I have for max airflow. Papst fans are also very good, nice and quite too. They're harder to find though. Cases: If you want a case that gives you maximum cooling then look for Aluminum built cases. One name brand I think of off the top of my head is Skyhawk. Aluminum cases are usually expensive though, so if your on a stricter budget get an Antec SX840 or the SX1030B case. Look at the CHIEFTEC cases too. They have the same cases as Antec but alot cheaper in price. These cases are about the best cases you can get without going to aluminum. Heatsink: Heatsinks are an important part of cooling. The best one you can get is an Alpha PAL 8045 for socket A processors. It's a little big though so make sure you have enough room in your case. Stick an 80mm panaflo in the heatsink too since this heatsink doesn't come with a fan. I'd start looking for this stuff at places like Newegg.com and Case-Mod.com
