Zondaro
I've been trying to play Jedi Outcast, but I've been having a problem getting save games to load correctly. I've tried every thing... but nothing works. A friend tried my copy in his computer to see if it was the CD, but it worked perfectly for him. When I go to load a save game it gives the following error 9 out of 10 times. "Failed Checksum check for chunk" The only save games that work are the ones the game generates when you first enter a new level (ie the start of the game, narsadda, yavin... so on) I haven't seen anyone else complain about this, and I was hoping that perhaps someone might have a thought on this. I'm currently running: Athlon 1800XP w/256MB PC133 Ram GeForce2 with 23.11 drivers SoundBlaster Live Gamer and a Logitech iFeel Mouse
MrKeyboard
Same problem here. I solved my earlier Z_Malloc error by downloading the game launcher program and SKIPPING two levels, since I wanted to play single player so bad (only thing ive found that works), but now I'm right before the final duel with Desaan and I get that message when i try to load my save game. jason-alaska
I've had simaler problems in loading saved games. Mine was with an Unsupported marker type *x** error message but the symptoms were the same so I thought I'd point you to this forum. http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38308 Raven tech suggested to me a through surface scan of my HD and then a reinstall. Check the above forum for a walk through of what I did that got me playing again. GOOD LUCK!
