Guest jubjubjub Posted December 1, 2001 Posted December 1, 2001 I presume you mean playing with people on the Internet side of the routers. With the Linksys, only one PC on the internal side can play IF you want to also connect to a PC on the external side. That PC has to be put in the DMZ (see the online documentation), so the inbound traffic isn't blocked by the embedded firewall. You can also check these links: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q240429 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q236429 SWGB uses Microsoft's DirectPlay for multiplayer, so whatever restrictions DirectPlay has, the game will have. If everyone is on the internal side of the router, there shouldn't be any problem (IPX seems to work a little better than TCP/IP in that case)

gen.mills Posted January 10, 2002 Posted January 10, 2002 well i have tried to open all of my ports. all of those on that website and i am still unsuccessful in trying to connect to my friends comp. i am running windows xp. any suggestions?????
