Lostman
In one player you can toggle from first/third person when using the saber. Why not in MP mode? F R A G N A S T I K A
Digital_Ronin
Short answer: Gameplay reasons. Guess the dev's simply considered 1stp useless for real fast-paced saber combat. And yes, it's really impossible. No need to try. Digital_Ronin

thrEEpaGe
unless they could have made the animations look much much better, i dont think that they should have made first person sabers...the hands look hideous....heh... but im glad that they did leave that option in (however ugly it is) for those odd people out there =)
obijonkenobi
Sabre combat is too intricate now in Jedi Outcast to have the very limited view angel which is 1st person perspective. Sure it was okay in the first Jedi Knight but then it was not as complicated. Sabre combat was very basic. But now you need to be able to see more of your surroundings. Oh and if someone thinks "in real life we would see it in first person view" well heres a newsflach.... in real life we can turn out head and eyes independantly to the rest of the body - you can not do that in games like this (not yet at least). So you can, in real life, see alot more then the 90degree arc infront of you like FPS games. 3rd person angle is the best compensation for this. And if your still not convinced... Tough! You can not change it so get over it!
Immortal LuD
Plain and simple, third person just LOOKS so much better, and it also gives you a better feeling of things around you, and of your attacks. With first person, you can't even tell where you're going to hit. Everything is just so 2D.
