BrotherWu
Hey. I'm trying to host a MP game to that a friend and I can practice dueling. For some reason, he can't seem to connect to my game after I have created it. We've done this 100 times in QIII, so I'm not sure what the problem might be here. Any ideas? I have ZA turned shut down. I create the game. He adds my IP as a favorite and then tries to join the favorite. No luck. Only thing I can figure is that my default port is wrong or something, but I don't see any place to change the port number. Anything else I could be doing wrong? Thanks. Matlaw007
One problem you might be having is that if you put the dedicated server option on "no", the game will be on a local host (meaning no one will see it or be able to connect to it.) What you probably have to do is go to create server, put all of the settings you want on, but instead of having dedicated server on "no", put it on "internet". When the window comes up (with all the yellow words and stays there), minimize it and reopen the Jedi Knight II application in a separate window, there you must join your own game but other people will be able to join as well. Hope this helps. P.S.- If you want to only play with your friend, i would suggest putting the password option on.
BrotherWu
If this is the case, seems like maybe this works differently than in Quake eh? To me, a non-dedicated server simply means I want to host a game and play in it too; I would think it would show up on the Internet either way. Thanks for your suggestion. I will try it out.
