bish
Hi all hoping someone can help here I am writing regarding some technical issues i am encountering with Jedi Outcast for the PC. All in all the game runs superbly on my computer, it does however have a few issues which i would like to see if they can be rectified. Mainly they are in relation to the games cut-scenes both the cinematic cgi scenes and also the dialouge scenes when character interaction occurs. In terms of the cgi scenes i regurarly lose all sound during these scenes and the scene continues to run with no sound. When charachters are interacting in the "in-game" cutscenes the dialouge often skips and leaves the game with an unpolished feel. I am only raising these issues as i have been so undoubtedly impressed with the game as a whole that any issue, no matter how minor seems all the more magnified in the light of the quality of the game as a whole. I would be very greatful for any help you could offer to try and stop these problems. I have included my system specifications to help with your diagnosis. System Specs. AMD Athalon XP 1.6+ 512mb DDR Ram Geforce 3 Ti200, 64mb AGP Graphics Card 80gb Hard-drive, Soundblaster Live PCI Soundcard Directx 8.1a Operating System Windows XP Home All my drivers are current and my XP is updated fully. Dx Diagnosis finds no errors with sound or graphics performance.

There is some type of Sound latency issue with Xp and SB cards, I am not sure of the specific, but see if there is any type of sound latency setting in JK2's console, and if so try doubeling the default value. arokh
I have exactly the same problem and all my drivers are up to date. The PC also sometimes crashes then reboots with a STOP error something like NFS_file_system_error or something like that. PC specs:- Windows2000 SP2 ATI Radeon 7200 SB Live 1024 256Mb RAM AMD Athlon 1GHZ over 36GB of HDD space free My PC works fine in other Q3 engine games e.g. Wolfenstien - I get no sound problems with that game. (Edit) Okay, I figured this out, if you go to the console and type in the command seta S_mixahead 0.4 it improved it a lot. It still screws up occasionally but its now playable.
