Grins2Pain
I usually keep a pretty up to date system, so this is rarely a problem for me, but I know many people who have run into this. The system requirements AND the recommendations for a game are usually BS. I think they should list a spec on game boxes for this: This is the spec at which the game runs at 1024x768x32 with all settings up, with a decent background environment(not 100 copies of MahJongg running), at an average of 30 FPS or higher(it can dip below, but not have an AVERAGE below). When I say all settings up, that for Jedi Knight 2 would be the whole enchilada, high geometry, Trilinear, special texture mode thingy, very high texture detail, Volumetric shadows, etc. That way users could know what kind of system would run the game optimally, and it would be much easier for consumers to figure out. Just a thought. Because I hate turning settings down with a passion, and I know a lot of you on this forum do too. Whats your opinion of this? It would be like a tab that said "Ideal" or something? seanMO
Godd idea but the companies that sell these games wont think so. They want to list the minimum requirements to get more people to buy the game.
