FimbulWinter
I hear you. I'm using a Voodoo 3 AGP and the experience of TRYING to play this game is almost unbearable. This game is literally the first major release shipped in over 3 years without out of the box 3dfx support - I really don't understand it unless people want all the people that bought the last generation cards (which, by the way were the most widely accepted 3d gaming standard) to go away. I can run the game but I constantly have to tweak the video settings to get levels to load. The cinematics don't work and the front end looks like hell. I know 3dfx is out of business but there are many serious gamers out there using their cards (and nearly every other major software publisher still releases games with direct support out of the box). I realize that GeForce is now taking over (or has) the scene, but there are many of us out here using voodoo boards that make up a serious faction of gaming. I have a Falcon NW PC for pete's sake - not some vanilla business desktop and this game has brought my system to its knees. The gameplay in this game is stellar - best in a long while - but that's why this video issue is so inexplicable. I'm crossing my fingers for a patch that adds direct support. Here's hoping LucasArts and Raven are listening.

Gigadeath
I had the same problem with my voodoo3. Even though I get that message from time to time, a simple restart always fixes the problem. Although I'm sure you've already tried that...
JohnnyVegas
I run XP and Voodoo 3 3000 and I have the exact same problem. I can't beleive Lucas would do this . I can't tell you how pissed I am about it. I also recieve the exact same problem using my s3 savage 4 card!! If your listening lucas, what hell is your problem! I mean do you want to sell this game or what? This is by far the worst marketing job I have ever seen in a long time. Did you guys really think no one has any voodoo cards? AFstud
Well I have been lucky enough for the game to work with my Voodoo 3 3000. But loading saved games is terrible, it freezes my computer, so i have to switch it off and start back up again. Some other games I have were having some issues with my card so I orderd a GeForce 3 the day I got JK 2, it'll be here today, this better fix it, of heads will get flown. By the way, my OS is WinME
Thrawn05
This is an example on how nVidia and ATi are forcing people to buy their cards. I refuse to switch to a different video card. I've been noticing this trend for a long time. Even cards made by SiS get hashed on every game released.
Kryss
Try using WickedGL drivers, you can download shareware version from: http://www.voodoofiles.com/471 They work ok for me
Sardius
It is kinda f***ed up that LA didn't give out of the box support for V3, and you should have some sort of support (works but shouldn't expect excellent performance), but don't go preaching that you're being forced to buy nVidia products like it's some kind of conspiracy between nVidia and LA. There are some other decent videocards in production that are NOT made by Nvidia and will run JK2. And if you think that they're all expensive, there are some out there between $50-80. Well, I could see how nVidia would be making enormous profits from the release of this game if everyone just gives in and buys a new videocard. Not everyone will buy a Geforce 2, 3, or 4, but a good deal of people will go for one since they have very little compatibility problems with new software. If you bug the hell out of LA and Raven enough, though, they'll give in instead. Good luck to you.
