Force Master
Hi, I've just bought this mouse and installed it. It works fine but i have one problem with it. JK2 doesn't seem to recognise the mousewheel function. When i scroll the wheel it no longer cycles the weapons, it does nothin. In the controls menu i have weapon cycling bound to the mousewheel but it still doesn't work! Does anyone else have this mouse? If so can u please help me? Thanks
SlitherSly
I had the same problem with my Logitech Optical Wheel Mouse. I fixed the problem by downloading the latest drivers from their website and then entering the Mouse Properties Menu. If you click on the Button Tab there will be 2 check boxes under the Scroller section, check both the "Use MS Office Compatible Scroll Only" and the "Scroll in Active Window Only." If the problem still persists try setting your middle button to Web Wheel. Hope this fixes your issue.
Crash55
What you need to download is the "MOUSE REGISTRY FILE FOR GAMERS" available on the Logitech website. With this there is no need to check the "Use MS Office Compatible Scroll Only" box. Also if you wish to use the middle button then assign it to "Middle Button" on the Buttons tab of Mouse Properties in the Control Panel.

I'm having the same problem playing in XP using a Logitech Cordless Mousman Optical...I installed the game_whl patch and it still doesn't work in the game. Haven't tried the other fix, but the patch is supposed to address that.
Ignix
Under WinXP, if you kill the process EM_EXEC.EXE you will be able to use the scrollwheel.
MasterData
The "MOUSE REGISTRY FILE FOR GAMERS" fixed my Logitech scrolling in-game...in addition, scrolling seems better in Windows, too! Thanks Crash55!
Guest CptBiggles
Don't mean to keep this thread going...well...actually yes I do: Logitech MouseMan Pro with its 4th thumb button: Disabling the EM_EXE thingy only kills the ability to use extra buttons, and mapping the button to something else...? Is there a button in the Logitec mouse setup that'll help out in JK, or do I have to settle for the middle button function (Mouse 3 in JK). I'd risk having Jar Jar in the 3rd movie for a fully functioning 4 button mouse... Tanks, Cpt Biggles
