I'm stuck in the second mines level. After the big fan thing and the dark tunnels, I go into a room with boxes and goodies. there's a door that leads to two more doors. The left leads to another locked door, and the right leads to another little locked door and an open door to a staircase to another locked door. No switches or anything anywhere. Did I have to hit one before I came down here?

i can't quite picture the area your talking about. but there may be like a vent or something hiding under or behind a crate you may have to destroy. there are several places like this in the game.
