JohnnyVegas
OK Lucas where are the patches and fixes for this? I have 2 comps running XP, one with a voodoo 3 3000 and one with an S3 savage 4 and all I get is an OpenGL subsystem error when running the game....errr ...TRYING to run the game. Did you guys really think that no one has these cards anymore? This is by far the worst release support I have ever seen for a game ever! What is the problem here? Will there be a fix, patch, update or what? I'm a member of a few boards and a ton of people are having the identical problem as I am. Maybe if you guys spent the same amount of time fixing this problem as you do putting in 4000 pop up ads on this board we would have a running/working game or at least a fix. Before you start calculating all the money you guys make on the sale of this game I suggest you wait about a month, I'm sure half of them will be returned.. Just awful... Johnny Vegas On S3, they probably hoped you didn't. S3 has NEVER HAD good drivers, I remember a fan of another game that I am not a fan of, having that card who essentially modified thier metal drivers and fixed the damn things himself, something thier "team" of engineers could not manage to get accomplished. As to voodoo, cough, defunt, DOA, no more support, to blame raven for this one is a tad hard, furthermore you have an OS that came out AFTER both of these companies were sold off, meaning, no one has OFFICIALLY created XP drivers for these cards. Have you been able to run OTHER Q3 engined games in the past on THESE specific machines and thier set up?

Your love to the old things have been seen clearly. Indeed, defunct or dead 3dfx companys may be a problem to bring drivers for their cards. That's ok. Just one thing. I just have bought a so expensive card (in the market, actually) , hercules gf 3 ti 200, and some friends too took some radeons. Me and them, are even getting THE SAME problem with OPENGL initialitzation. No way to resolve it. No info /support to resolve it. Now what? We have not old cards, we have powerful systems and devices, and what about that? We can either play the game. my congratulations to lucas. That has nothing to do with it, S3 was NEVER a good company period, even when they were existant. 3dfx set the 3d gaming market back years by releaseing a PROPRIETY API, that caused performance issues on non-3dfx cards even some 2 years after nvidia bought them. Glide was a BAD thing. On to today then... COuld you goive us just a LITTLE bit more information about you and your "friends" set ups please? AS it stands know I know you have a video card from ATI and nvidia, but I can deduct nothing else about your system, now if you don't have a rest of the system, then I think we know what the peoblem is, but....... OS, CPU, Motherboard [if you know it] Driver version, exact rror message/time, other Q3 engined game work or not? Just a little background please.
