Trienco Posted April 11, 2002 Share Posted April 11, 2002 and lack of an own server or a big enough lan: the problem is to find out, if the planned teams would be balanced enough. imagine the setting as mandalorians vs. jedi or for the ones that dont know the eu: a bunch of obi wans vs. a bunch of jango/boba fetts. the jedi remain as they are (maybe limited to the light side due to the setting and reducing the range of push/pull). for the test the mandalorians would be about this: jump 3 (jetpack) grip 1 (the rope) lightning 1 or 2 (flamethrower) push/pull 2 (only for now to resist them at all) jedi are limited to the saber and should try not to pickup extras. mand are limited to guns and pickups (and the first 3 force powers). so, does anybody already see a huge flaw in that? is there someone with his own server who could test a team ffa like that? (or make up own objectives)... a clan maybe, were communication is easier? also: how about a mod where each team has only 1 (or 2) jedi and the objective is to kill the opposing jedi? kind of like the bodyguard mode of tfc or cs just that the charge can fight back on his own (though still would have to watch out not to die). Trienco Posted April 11, 2002 Author Share Posted April 11, 2002 only some of them. rockets: dodge or push, flechette: the same, repeater: deflect/push/dodge... maybe slowing down repeater alt fire, but then: they couldnt hurt you at all without at least a few strong weapons. maybe you cant do much against hr alt fire, but what can they do against your saber? exactly the same: dodge and dont get hit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
