jasho
There is a beta/leaked version of the nVidia Detonator drives 28.35 that was released last Thursday. I have not had a chance to install them yet, but if someone can do it and report back that would be fantastic. You can get them at http://www.guru3d.com http://www.nvplanet.com Thanks! Someone modified them so they can be installed for any card, but I get the feeling if nvidia only intended then to be tested on NV17 cards, we should probably leave them alone. jasho
I think NV17 cards are GeForce4 cards, but not sure. It just seems odd that given the history of leaked drivers, that it would only be written for one specific chipset. Anyway, thanks.
pockets
I believe the NV17 is the TV out option on the GForce 4 MX series. I have a PNY Verto with a nVidia GForce 4 chipset, and the TV out is called NV17. Not absolutely positive, but I think that is what the NV17 is, I could be wrong. But I am brave, I will try it and report what it does and how it works. Pockets

NV17, might be the GF4 MX chipset though.
Sardius
NV25 is definitely the Geforce 4 Ti series. Got a PNY GF4 Ti4600. Very nice, too, I might add. However, software programmers had better start taking advantage of the hardware, unlike what they did with the GF3.
pockets
Seems to work fine for me, no problems detected at all. By the way, I am using XP Pro, just in case you wanted to know. Pockets [edit 8:30 PM 4-11-02] The 28.35 drivers seem to be the trick (for me at least). If you are having problems, try the new drivers for nVidia based cards. jasho
There are another set of 28.35 drivers that will install on all nVidia based cards and not just GeForce4 cards. Again, they are only for Win2k/WinXP. Remeber that they ARE LEAKED drivers. They are BETA drivers so use at your own risk....Please post if having problems with these drivers or if they work for you. Thanks!
RedWolf4000
Heres how it goes with the NV17. The NV17 is the new GeForce4 MX series chip. Now i know your gonna say BUT the geforce3 is a nv20! I know it seems odd, but what was done with the MX line of geforce4's is they took geforce2ti chips and peaked there performance with there new boards, and there new features. Some people are very angry that the GeForce4 MX series is just a geforce2 Ti. Its not though, what it really is is the same Chip Type, its much faster then the GeForce2 (so its said)....Personally, i am kinda sad. I gave away my radeon 7200 and then bought a GeForce4 MX 440, and i feel i should be getting better performance. When i play a multiplayer game i get 15-20fps...my rig is a 1000mhz duron, 256mb ram pc133. Does anyone know how i can improve performance? im running driver 2.8.3.2, i set my bios to optimized instructions for the card, as well as turned on highest performance features in windows, no luck. Any help would be great. Thx.
