JK_Morovski
are you on a network at home? or using a proxy to dial in?
Belial6672
How do you know that you are hosting lan only? When you go to about screen it only states local host, doesnt mean that you are only hosting on a lan. I had a similar problem when i first set up jo for a few mates to join in. They simply couldn't see my server or if i sent them my ip address they would get another server lol. Then all of a sudden they would see my game and have joined in from that point on.. Whay are they using to see your server (found ingame browser buggy as hell)..I use all seeing eye and gamespy3d myself. Sorry cant be of more help .... ps2maddenman
1. Don't run a dedicated server 2. Select Internet - not LAN you have to do this when you are setting up the game. 3. If you still have problems try hosting at http://www.zone.com when you do all of the options are defaulted to what they should be. 4. In the game when the maps load you should see "localhost" under the "about" button when you hit esc, since you are hosting the game locally (has nothing to do with LAN) 5. Try having a friend connect to your game via the console (shift + tilde) by typing "connect <ip address>" 6. Remember that if you are the only person in the game, most people wont join your game because they want to join a game that has a decent amount of people in it, so be very very patient.
