Nintendo Guru Posted April 12, 2002 Share Posted April 12, 2002 Pegnose's pseudonym consists of a first name, a middle initial, and a last name. You notice that the filing system has three dials. The conclusion is that changing a dial also changes the range of names that correspond to that dial. Another hint: The initial position of the dials corresponds with the beginning of the alphabet. Nintendo Guru Posted April 13, 2002 Share Posted April 13, 2002 Each side of a dial corresponds to a range of letters of the alphabet. Try a combo, see what name you get, then adjust the dials until you get into the right range, in which case it will give you Pegnose's file.
