Desann owns me. (help!)

It may be sad to admit, but Desann owns me in the battle at the jedi academy. I must have fought him 40 times last night. Whenever I thought I was doing well, (got a few good strong cuts in), he always ends up grip / tossing me around and I can not seem to counter his grip like I could other enemies.

 

I thought I was pretty good with the lightsaber, I have beaten the game up to this point on the 2nd hardest difficulty without using any other weapon, and can cut through waves of shadowtroopers and reborn like it aint no thing.

 

Is there a special trick to beating him, or should I just keep fighting? I use the "beam" to protect myself when I get the chance, but it only seems to work once per battle.

 

Any advice?

Try using force speed in conjunction with red stance, and also force pull the 2 symbols at the top of the arena on both sides of it to emit the invulnerability ray in the middle of the area (lasts 10 seconds) if you need to. Desaan will be more than easy if you do that.
