Why when I use some monkey sound combination is it considered a foul?

A monkey insult is a foul if it doesn't apply to your current stance.

 

Example: Let's say "Ack Eek Chee" is the move that takes you from Anxious Ape to Charging Chimp and back. You can only use that move whenever you're in Anxious Ape OR Charging Chimp. Using it while in any of the other stances (Drunken Monkey, Gimpy Gibbon, Bobbing Babboon) is a foul.

 

And of course, an insult that isn't any of the transitions is also a foul.
