§øníç Posted April 13, 2002 Share Posted April 13, 2002 I found some of the coolest skins in the file section of this site but can't for the life of me get them to work in the game. I put them in the right folder and everything and see them when i haven't entered a server yet. The problem comes when i enter a server i go back to the default character and am unable to see my downloaded skin anywhere on my list. Am I doing something wrong? Actually i posted about this very problem yesterday, came back just now to read the replies and my post had mysteriously vanished. . . I hope we both find the answer to this one and soon. Heretk Posted April 14, 2002 Share Posted April 14, 2002 I may be wrong, but I believe I have the answer here. For a skin to load in game, the skin file has to be on both the client and server side. I know this to be true with other FPS type games, so I think it applies here as well. I have all the new skins, and when I host a game, they are all available. However, when I join a server without those files, I can't use the skins. Most public servers don't allow clients to upload files (like skins), so you will just have to look around to find the right game. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
