How do you use Mods?

if you downloaded the Darth Maul mod in zip format then open it up, you should see a .pk3 file in there with a readme!

The readme should say to extract the .pk3 file in the base directory of the folder in which you installed Jedi Outcast.

(Default= <c:/program files/Lucasarts/Jedi Outcast/game data/base> I think!)

Once the .pk3 file is there JO will automatically use it on startup!

I know how to create mods by creating .pk3 files in the GameData\base directory. The problem is that, when you use this method, the mods are "always on". (You have to manually edit the file structure to turn it off.)

To clarify my above question, how do you make/modify mods so that they can be accessed/selected/turned on via the in game mod menu?

Also, is there a command line option to turn on specific mods? I would love to be able to load mods directly with shortcuts.
