what is the best defense for the gun that shoots the blue balls (repeater gun?)

i don't mind so much when people use other weapons but pull this gun out when the mood strikes them, however, people who use it exclusively really do annoy me. it really does seem like a no-skill "spam the area" weapon, especially when indoors :/

 

i'm trying to find a solid counter to this gun as well. if things don't go so well i think i'll just have to resort to spamming them with grenades or even using the same gun back at them.

 

it won't feel right, but perhaps they'll get the picture how much the weapon sucks if i permafrag them long enough.
