Kiell_Randor
I am sure there are many players out there like myself. Players who hate the type of gamer who looks for every little glitch or game imbalance so he can 'dominate' with his l33t-ness. Players who hate the type of gamer who thinks the words 'honor' and 'code' don't belong in a 'computer game'. Players who don't like the "Jedi Killers from New York" type of clans who recruit anyone and anything that moves, and have no love or respect for the Star Wars universe. Players who hate gamers who flock to this game simply because it is the newest game out, and they can run around alt+firing rockets and other area-explosion weapons so they can kill all those suckers with lightsabers. Knights of Alderaan is a mature gaming group with a true respect for the Star Wars universe. As such, we're doing our best to re-create the experience within the game, with a group of like-minded players who's interest is in having fun and improving their skills - and not at the expense of anyone else's enjoyment. New players to the Order enter as Initiates. As their skills with the lightsaber are assessed, they have a chance to meet with the other members of the Order. They will be matched with a Jedi Knight or Jedi Master who keeps the same playing hours, and enjoys a similar fighting style. At this point they become Padawan, and recieve instruction from skilled players in both lightsaber fighting and use of Force powers. All of this is done in a role-play environment where respect is shown and recieved. As the player shows a maturity and apprecation of the Knights of Alderaan's approach to things, they will be allowed to test for the rank of Jedi Knight. Given time and dedication they may even earn the title of Jedi Master. The Knights play the game in a couple of ways: most play within the Order is done on a team server with lightsabers only and no or limited Force powers. At times they will also play in ffa and tffa games. Matches with other 'clans' will be done by a format of 1 vs 1 duels. The Knights use only the lightsaber, and Light Force powers only (no drain, lightning, grip). Out of the game, there is a strong emphasis on role-play in the team forums, involving both discussion and member-written stories. In all, we attempt to create the experience of Star Wars from the Jedi perspective in as enjoyable a manner as possible. Kiell_Randor
Kaz Kaytar, Kyth'emos and Haras Media were all recently chosen as Padawan learners from amongst the Initiates. The Knights of Alderaan have room for more.
