Binding to extra mouse buttons

I want to bind the Next Force and Use Force commands to the back and forward buttons on my MS Intellimouse, but the game doesn't recognize those buttons when I try to set it up that way. Does anyone know how to make it so I can use these buttons? Thanks

The game recognizes my Explorer mouse, I'd suggest keeping the Intellipoint program running while playing the game. My system doesn't even recognize the extraneous buttons if the software isn't running. If it still doesn't work, have intellipoint execute itself on start-up, and then reboot and try it again.

I have the same mouse and was able to map all 5 buttons with in the game options. It was very easy. You have to make sure that the mouse program is open on your desktop, "the icon is on the bottom right hand corner of your desktop". Otherwise your mouse will only function as a regular mouse.
