Game freezes at loading in 32bit Colour

When i start or load a game in 32bit colour mode it gets to about 90% and stops, the pc keeps chugging away but the bar doesn't move, i've waited upto 5 minutes for something to happen but nothing does. This doesn't happen in 16 bit tho.

What vid card are you using? Some vid cards will support 16-bit and 24-bit, but not 32-bit. The way to test it out is to see if you can change your desktop to 32-bit. This can be done via Right-click on the desktop and choose Properties. Go to the Settings tab and see if you can select 32-bit from the color depth drop down menu. If 32-bit is not there, then your card or drivers will not allow you to use 32-bit. This can cause the freezing you are experiencing.
